7th Annual Acoustic Roots Festival Announces 2019 Performers                                                      August 30 – September 1, 2019

 

Chosen as one of Destination Cape Breton’s 2019 Signature Events the seventh annual Acoustic Roots Festival is pleased to announce the talent line-up for the 2019 festival, to be held August 30th to September 1st. This year’s performers includes some of Atlantic Canada’s most exciting artists. Scheduled performers include: Catherine MacLellan, John Campbelljohn, Howie MacDonald,        Laura Smith, Kim Dunn, Crowdis Bridge, Colin Grant, Donnie Campbell, Dwayne Cote, James MacLean,  Doucet Sisters,  Adam Young, Jason MacDonald, Chris Ryan, Leona Burkey, Wendy Owens Abbott, Rosie Sampson, Donna Marie DeWolfe, Jinks O’Neill, Darrell Keigan, David Stone, Catch The Spirit, John Curtis Sampson, MacArthur Dancers, CBU Pipe Band,David Meuse,  Robert Bouchard, Nicole LeBlanc, Maxim and Gervais Cormier . Two Rivers Wildlife Park, located near Marion Bridge, Cape Breton is the venue for the multi- genre festival. The 500 acre site offers a variety of activities and services for festival goers including onsite camping, walking trails, fish ponds, wagon rides, petting zoo, canteen, observatory and WiFi. The campground has several serviced sites as well as a new visitor’s center with showers and laundry facilities. The Acoustic Roots Festival performances begin at 5 pm on Friday, August 30th with an 11 am start on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1nd. Musical workshops will be held during the festival in songwriting, guitar and fiddle.

Two Rivers Wildlife Park/Acoustic Roots Festival have been chosen as the recipient of the Tic Butler Award. The award is given out annually to individuals, groups or societies that advance Cape Breton art. This is a wonderful award and very much appreciated by everyone involved with the success of the festival including park workers, event volunteers, sponsors, festival goers and of course the talented performers

A great big thank you to all the volunteers, park staff, sponsors, performers and music fans who made this years Acoustic Roots Festival a wonderful success. Hope to see you all back again next year.

Sixth Annual Acoustic Roots Festival Announces 2018 Performers

Chosen as one of Destination Cape Breton’s 2018 Signature Events the sixth annual Acoustic Roots Festival is pleased to announce the talent line-up for the 2018 festival, to be held August 31st to September 2nd . This year’s performers includes some of Atlantic Canada’s most exciting artists. Scheduled performers include: Adam Young, Brenda Stubbert, Blanche Sopholeous, Buddy MacDonald, Chrissy Crawley, Colin Grant, Crowdis Bridge, Dara MacDonald, Dave Carroll, David Meuse, Donnie Campbell, Dwayne Cote, Harold MacIntyre, Jason MacDonald, Jason Price, Jim Inch, Jinks O’Neill, Joe Gillis, Kolten MacDonell, John Curtis Sampson, MacArthur Dancers, MacNeil Sisters, Meaghan Blanchard, Naming The Twins, NC Elite Dancers, Robert Bouchard and Ryan Roberts. Two Rivers Wildlife Park, located near Marion Bridge, Cape Breton is the venue for the multi- genre festival. Coinciding with the festival weekend, the park will also be hosting the Annual Horse Show. The Acoustic Roots performances begin at 6 pm on Friday, August 31 with an 11 am start on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2. Musical workshops will be held during the festival.
